To kick off the new year, we thought it would be great to share our story with you all. How we thought up Missing and some behind-the-scenes tales of the journey along the way!

We slowly came back to reality after realizing we were the owners of 100 acres of land! Our first order of business was bushwhacking through the property! As we pushed our way through the trees
If anyone out there has ever tried to restore an airstream, it is wayyyyyyyyyyy more work than you think! We took out some cabinets and worked with several layouts of the interior space, but weren’t quite cut out for the job with all of the other tasks on our list.
Now that we have a “house” with a shower and proper transportation to get around the ranch, it’s time to tackle communication with the outside world. I may not have mentioned that the property has absolutely ZERO cell service and ZERO options for internet because it is in the middle of two ridges that run through the hill country.
Famous last words… When you go to bed knowing that a shipping container didn’t roll off a trailer onto a major road in front of your property, that is a great feeling! When you figure out how to get a 200-pound generator in the back of a car by yourself, that is a good feeling…
Now that we have all of our heavy equipment, we quickly realized hanging out on a bulldozer all day can be a bit lonely… We decided we needed a sidekick to hang out with us while we took on this seemingly impossible endeavor! Knowing a fellow Golden Doodle, we decided that was our dream dog…
With the plan in place and our trusty Mascot, Piper, now we needed a crew…We had a few people at the beginning of the project who weren’t necessarily equipped to handle the wildness.
